Tips For Filling a Waste Container

Tips For Filling a Waste Container

Efficiently Using Waste Containers from Troiano

If you’re using a roll-off waste container, it’s important to make the most of the space you have. It will make things easier for you if you don’t have to worry about filling it up too fast, and it’s also safer when you can ensure the container isn’t going to be overfilled with items falling over the side.

Break Items Down

As you start filling a waste container, it may seem like you have plenty of space so there’s no need to break items down. However, if you break down larger items right from the beginning then the whole process of filling the dumpster will be easier for you. Whether it’s large furniture or boxes, get them into as many and as flat of pieces as possible.

Larger Items First

Know that you have large furniture or heavy construction waste to dispose of? Get that into the waste container first. This is important both for efficiently filling the container and for ensuring it’s not top-heavy.

Fill in the Gaps

Tossing items haphazardly into a waste container is a sure way to waste space. Instead, take the time to try to place items carefully in between gaps. Once you have the larger items in, smaller items will fit in many of the empty spaces so you can make the most of available space. When you just throw items in, you may feel like you’re working faster, but it can result in a container filling up far faster than it needs to. It’s much easier to take the time to fill in gaps than it is to try to rearrange waste to fit more in.
