Troiano Waste and Community Outreach
We’re proud to be a local, family-owned business that has thrived in Greater Portland for four decades. We also know that we wouldn’t be as successful as we are without the wonderful community here in Greater Portland and throughout Maine. From the businesses we serve to the employees who give their all every day, this is a special place to live and work. That’s why we believe it is so important to give back.
Supporting Our Youth
As sponsors of South Portland Little League, Troiano Waste helps give our local youth an opportunity to get outside, be active and play a sport they love. Through participation in Little League, kids learn more than just baseball skills. They learn about teamwork, about sportsmanship and about being part of a community. Little League brings the adults in our community together too, as they cheer on their kids from the sidelines and volunteer as coaches or in other capacities. We hope to see you on the fields this summer, COVID-19 pending!
Supporting Local Families
The Ronald McDonald House provides an incredibly important service for families going through a difficult time. When your child is sick and in the hospital for an extended time, it’s so important you not have to worry about paying for a hotel or for meals in restaurants. The services – as well as the supportive community – that families have access to through the Ronald McDonald House is invaluable, both for financial and emotional well-being. Troiano Waste is proud to support their mission.
Supporting Maine’s Future
In supporting the Maine Blue Collar Scholarship Foundation, Troiano Waste is helping motivated students get an education in the skilled trades that will lead to a good-paying career. For a strong future, Maine needs to grow its skilled workforce. Learning a trade is a pathway to a solid career, and comes without the burdensome debt of a traditional four-year college degree. The trades offer our talented youth the opportunity to be intellectually stimulated, creative, and innovative while bringing home a good paycheck for a day’s work. We’re proud to join numerous other Maine companies in supporting this endeavor to help our youth and build our state’s future.
